C.R.I.M.E. Module Overview

Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
module enables dispatchers to take service calls and dispatch
officers quickly, with very few key strokes. The CAD screen is a
real-time display which automatically updates whenever
activity occurs to ensure your dispatchers are looking at an up
to date view. Based on the location of a call CAD is capable
of presenting the dispatcher with a prioritized list of units and
agencies to respond to it. Such a list might include which first
responder, ambulance company, fire units, primary officers, and
secondary (backup) officers. Only the types of units required by
the call are displayed for selection by the dispatcher.
Incident Records Management (IRM)
module is an incident based records system which captures all
of the incident related information and classifications.
This information can then be retrieved on-line through
powerful interactive search programs which empowers your
officers to do the best job possible. These search programs
allow for multiple simultaneous selection criteria such as
officer involved, date and time ranges, location and many more.
This information is also used to print reports such as officer
activity, UCR, and service statistics.
Master Name Index (MNI)
module stores and manages information about people and
businesses. Current and previous addresses and AKA's are kept on
both types of subjects as well as relationships between subjects
such as gang membership. Extensive physical descriptions
are stored for people. Contact history is cross referenced and
every recorded contact with the subject is displayed and
selectable for reviewing the details of the incident or other
contact type. Extensive on-line search capabilities are available
which can simultaneously include full name/ partial name/ first
name only, address, contact severity and various physical
description ranges and types (i.e. height, weight, age, sex, race, hair, eyes).
Fire Incident Reporting (FIR)
module records information concerning fires, events related
to fires, and equipment used. This information is then used to
produce NFIRS reports and NFIRS data submissions to state
authorities. This module is integrated with CAD and IRM to
eliminate duplication of keying efforts.
Wisconsin TIME Interface (TIM)
module provides direct access to all available TIME network
formats using any AS/400 work station. This module is one
keystroke away for dispatchers using CAD, and is also integrated
into the Incident Records and Master Name Index modules.
Existing information is carried forward to the TIME formats to
eliminate the rekeying of information. An example would be
being able to run a "27" using an existing
name in the system and not having to rekey the name into the TIME format.
Geographic Data Base (GEO)
module stores pertinent information for every location
serviced. It is used by CAD to validate locations, aid in
determining which agencies should respond, and provide warning
information about the locations. It can simultaneously store
multiple patrol plans and district break downs. This module
also helps in resolving duplicate street name issues.
Bicycle Registration (BKR)
module is designed to store bicycle registration information
while cross indexing owners into the MNI module. This system keeps
a complete history of owners and registration information for a
bike allowing for easy transfers of ownership. Auction information
is kept for recovered unclaimed bikes.
Parking Ticket Management (PTM)
module records parking ticket information and generates overdue
notices, including state D.O.T. notices. Parking offenders are
also cross referenced into the MNI module. Fines/ fees are
completely customer configurable by agency. Parking tickets can
also be associated to an incident should the situation escalate.
Advanced on-line search programs provide instant access to ticket
information, which links to people and their contact
histories, which links to the incident or other detail behind
the contact.
Mobile Data Computer (MDC)
module interfaces computers in the squad cars to the C.R.I.M.E.
system allowing them to get detailed dispatch information,
field officer status information. state law enforcement
information, inquire into local records, and interact with the
dispatchers and other officers. The MDC's also provide integrated
electronic mail support which allows communication between all
personnel enrolled in EMAIL, even people on other shifts.
CAD 911 Emergency Telephone Interface (CET)
module is designed to acquire the address information from the 911
emergency telephone system and provide it to the dispatchers
using the CAD module. This module also evaluates, filters, and
converts portions of the 911 address to conform to the local
address information. This step is required in order to take full
advantage of the information available.
