The C.R.I.M.E. system runs on IBM AS/400 computers which is one of the
most versatile host systems available. The AS/400 supports many different
LAN / WAN scenarios and this includes all the popular protocols (ie. TCP/IP,
SNA, NetBIOS, IPX) and connections (ie. Ethernet, token-ring, twisted pair,
twinax).
